I find the other two gevalia coffees too bitter for my taste. This one has a much better flavor. It still has the nice, full, flavor I wanted, without the bitterness that I found unpleasant. I would rate the others as 4 stars. This is 5.

This is a great full flavored cup of coffee. It’s a little less intense than the Dark Italian but more robust than the Dark Breakfast Blend. I love it.

Enough flavor but not as bold as the new dark breakfast blend (my favorite). Thus far this is my second favorite cup of coffee from the Tassimo. I highly recommend!

I was so bummed when Starbucks coffee was no longer offered for Tassimo, but now the Dark House Blend is here and I love it! It tasted just like the Starbucks! It's awesome! Perfect way to start the morning!

I would rate this a 5 & recommend it but it doesn't produce the advertised 11 oz. Instead it produces slightly over 7 oz. Big disappointment for us because we both fill our travel mugs in the a.m. and head out the door. With the discontinuation of the Gevalia 11 oz. pods, this was our only hope at a return to the 'norm' in our morning routine. Other than that, the taste, aroma, and strength is wonderful. Just fix the bar code to produce the 11 oz. and all will be right with the world again.

Another failed attempt at imitating Starbucks coffee, initially a smooth flavor, but with an incredibly burnt aftertaste that lingers until a mint is used. How depressing. I give up on Tassimo.

When I got the email announcement that there were some new large pour bold coffees added to the lineup I was stoked and ordered three of them, including Gevalia Dark House Blend. The flavour is just what I think of as an excellent American coffee.
But I really am extremely disappointed in that this product only provides a 8 ounce pour and not the 11 ounce pour advertised on the Tassimo website and on the actual packaging.
I recommend the coffee for its quality taste but be advised about the mis-information about the size of the serving.

Ever since Kraft has taken over or rebranded the coffee for this Tassimo system it is impossible to find the t disc at a local grocery store or even Walmart or Target. Keriug is everywhere even at Lowes and maybe Kraft should take a look at the target markets and review if Tassimo is even pulling its weight. Not good when I have to purchase T- disc refils online.

Why can't we get T-discs at the stores?

I love my Tassimo system and the coffee and/or cappucino's etc that I can make but trying to find the T-discs is becoming a problem. When I first got my brewer about 8 months ago I could buy them at Publix, Bed-Bath & Beyond, Kohls, and Wal-Mart in my area. Now the only place I can buy them is Kohls and they only carry 3 flavors. On the shelf next to the T-discs are 20-30 different flavors of the Keurig K-cups. You can buy the K-cups at any store in my area. It almost makes me want to buy a Keurig brewer just for the ease of being able to buy the coffe to brew.

You can find them at Bed Bath and Beyond. If you use your 20% off coupons they are even cheaper. I also found some at Kohls, although Kohls is mostly cappucino and expresso.

Among the new darker roasts which have been offered by Tassimo, this is one for those who also like IPA's, rich stouts, and dark chocoate! It is hardy; there's a very slight but not objectionable bitterness; and a slightly intense roasted flavor.

Well done Tassimo! This is my new everyday coffee. Bold but not bitter. Great price too. I haven't tried the other bold flavors yet, but I'm very pleased with the dark house blend.

I have to say, Bravo. The new line of Gevalia extra bold roasts are pretty much as positioned by Gevalia -- the replacement to SBUX. Personally, I prefer this expanded line as it delivers the richness of SBUX without necessarily all of the burnt bitterness. The line measures up like this:
Dark Breakfast Blend = smoother than SBUX House, close to Seattle’s Best Henrys Blend
Dark House Blend = SBUX House, slightly less bitter
Dark Italian Blend = SBUX Verona. Strongest for the SBUX diehards.
Finally, a full 11 ounces accurately brewed from a large T-disc.
Dark Breakfast Blend = smoother than SBUX House, close to Seattle’s Best Henrys Blend
Dark House Blend = SBUX House, slightly less bitter
Dark Italian Blend = SBUX Verona. Strongest for the SBUX diehards.
Finally, a full 11 ounces accurately brewed from a large T-disc.
Also surprisingly good for small t-discs are:
Gevalia 15% Kona (but a little overpriced)
Maxwell House (yes, MH!) French. Very smooth full bodied, great aroma and a great price. On both of these however I brew them short of full cycle, otherwise too watery. Check out all of these. They beat out a weak K-cup any day.

All of my large discs of this great tasting coffee produce exactly 8 oz. of coffee by my T650. How are you getting 11 oz. pour from your machine? What am I missing? Thanks.

RobLA has hit the nail on the head with his comments. I was a diehard SBUX drinker and when the tide turned I was concerned. We have 3 tassimo brewers home, office, and the boat. So we have invested heavily into Tassimo.
Well within seconds of the first brew cycle with the Dark House Blend I knew you nailed it. This is a great cup of coffee, perfect cup size.
Very enjoyable.
