The cream didn't taste as sour as it usually does for the hot chocolate, the Tassimo Caramel Latte and the Tassimo Vanilla Latte. I thought it had a better taste than those two, but still not as good as a cup of cappuccino in a nice Italian restaurant. As these Tassimo coffees go, I thought this was better than others I've tried. I made mine using one of the creams and about a tablespoon of sugar. My husband thought it was instant coffee. I wasn't sure either. But I've had a Starbuck's instant coffee that tasted better than this.

Am I doing something wrong, because the description says makes 3 fl oz of espresso and I am only getting 1 out of it. I hate having to use 2-3 t-discs to get a normal sized cup.

I heat a cup of nonfat milk add it to the espresso and my day is off to a great start!

Doesn't compare to the Carte Noire Ristretto. Somewhat bitter with a not so great flavor. I got this in the Cappuccino set, finding I had to use 2 per cap because it just wasn't strong enough. Since I started using the CN instead, I decided to try the last one of these straight - wish I didn't. Sorry, can't recommend this one when there are other great options.

The flavor of this espresso is just too bitter for me. It lacks the smoothness of other brands and doesn't produce the nice crema on top.

I originally purchased the Cappichino pairing, but like all the rest, I did not like the taste of the creamers...The espresso on its own is good...
This does not brew up too hot, so I am able to drink it right away... Very little crema, but is has a nice taste.
It dispenses about a single shot of espresso... See Picture...I actually remembered to upload one this time...
I like to use this selection to mix with the hot chocolate for making a tasty mocha - this from an espresso drinker.

I use this espresso to make my own latte vs. buying it from a coffee shop. It tastes just as good as store-bought if I heat up my own milk in a mug first and then brew the espresso into that. Delicious! Also tried the latte creamer discs, but they don't come close to using your own milk and had a funny aftertaste.

To be quite honest, when I first purchased my Tassimo I really wasn't thinking too much about making espresso. Once I realized how versatile espresso was and that all of my favorite drinks were espresso based, it really changed my mind.
I really like the flavor of the Gevalia Espresso. It's bold but not burnt or overpowering like espressos I've had in coffee shops and restaurants.
At this point, I'm pretty much making my own custom mochas, lattes and flavored cappuccinos using a combination of these discs, creamer discs, some gourmet syrups, chocolate, etc... My creativity makes up for the lack of Tassimo flavors and a lot of what I've made can be prepared very quickly, with minimal fuss/mess and still at a huge savings over the coffee houses.
I'd consider this variety of t-disc to be a staple in my kitchen now - along with MH Caramel Macchiato, Gevalia Mocha and Gevalia Swiss Hazelnut. If you haven't tried it yet, pick up a package :)

I guess the adage " you can't make every on happy" applies here... . Sure there are coffees that come in t-disks, I don't care for ....but I there are many tassimos coffees that for me .....are simply the best..
After I had BURNT ( from a lot of use) out my second machine ... I strayed to "another" single cup system. But after two months of drinking weak and tasteless coffee ... I could not take it. I threw out that machine .... And went "shopping" again ....only to find Tassimo .... again.
Today, I bought my third Tassimo machine ( a Bosch 65) , and 6 packs of various T disc coffee , got home and fired it up with a Latte and WOW ! ....I knew I was "home" ... without a question ... the Tassimo coffe experiance for ME is the Best.... Period.

This has a hint of bitterness, but not unpleasant. It compares favorably to the espressos one drinks in France or Switzerland.
Although it lacks the hint of chocolate which is found in CN Voluptuoso Classic and the smoothness which I found in ML Crema, it is a pleasant coffee for the midmorning and can served as a "lungo" by adding an ounce or two oof the hot water manually without losing its flavor.

This espresso has a great bold flavor and makes excellent lattes and cappuccinos with the milk discs, or even mochas by adding a Suchard. So glad to have this decaf option.

It has always been difficult for me to find a decaffeinated coffee of any kind that offers a full, robust flavor. This one wins the prize. To me, all previously tested decafs made me feel I was drinking something other than coffee because so much of the richness seemed to be missing. This one doesn't fail the test. It is so smooth and satisfying that I would drink it as my morning coffee if I didn't need that kick of caffeine to get my day started.

This is my favorite! I was never a fan of home coffee making until I got my machine. I used to do a lot of standing in line at Coffeehouses for Americanos and granted the social aspect is still a good thing, but work mornings are much easier and cheaper now with T-disks. I do wonder when we'll, get another opportunity to stock up with a sale? Strong & smooth, not bitter!

I started with my Tassimo, a Christmas present in 2005, and got online in January of 2006. I have tried ALL of the expresso's at one time or another, and tried to like the French and Italian ones better. But, honestly, I keep coming back to Gevalia for all around fullness, aroma and taste. Now if you are into the "burnt floor sweepings" taste of Starbucks overroasted brewed coffees [they don't do that to their espressos], you may think coffees must be more bitter or stronger, your palate may crave harsher notes. But I think this Espresso has stood the test of time; my guests have liked it best too.

Smooth and flavorful

I have been using Gevalia Espresso for several years now. I am not a fan of Starbucks either but Dunkin Donuts.....I was spending a fortune there on my morning and afternoon iced skinny lattes.
I have found that I have been able to match their smooth taste with Gevalia. Sometimes I just run the same disc twice and other times, I use two discs for a more robust flavor with my skim milk and ice. Friends too have a new found love for iced lattes.

This espresso is by far better than the Maxwell House Espresso blend--as I think the Starbucks Espresso is too bitter for me. I will continue to purchase Gevalia Espresso regularly, as I am one very happy customer!

I was a Starbucks addict until I bought my Tassimo brewer. I make an iced latte every morning and drink a decaf expresso every night. When the recall happened I missed my lattes so much. But, I am back getting my wonderful Gevalia Expresso products and am ordering large quantities so that I won't ever run out again. I make a 3 shot expresso and then add my nonfat milk and ice in a tall glass. It is wonderful! Thank you Tassino for this great product.

I've grown up with several brands of Espresso roast coffee to make "cafe con leche" (coffee with milk), but when I was looking for one to fit my Tassimo, I went with this one. It really surprised me to have the amazingly great flavor, aroma, texture, etc that it does. Even my husband loves it and he was never a big coffee drinker.

I enjoy a cup of espresso often. While this could be a little stronger (like Starbucks), it satisfies quite nicely.
I haven't tried the Mastro Lorenzo Espresso yet; it's next on my list.

I respectfully differ with my fellow coffee drinker. After trying all the espressos offered by Tassimo, the Gevalia has become my favorite. There is a hint of bitterness but it is better than espressos made in most US coffee shops and almost as good as those in French and Swiss cafes though not as fine as those in Italy. One can make a very tasty "lungo".
