This espresso is horrible. Not only does it taste burnt, but it brews with a layer of foam. Do not recommend this item.

Espresso is supposed to be stronger. It is supposed to have a layer of "foam" (visit Wikipedia for a full explanation). That's the beauty of it. King of Joe has a wonderful full, rich flavor. The other brands package 8 espresso discs and 8 cream discs. Another reason I love King of Joe. 16 espresso discs per package.

I purchased this to make lattes rather then buy the prepared products containing sugar. Made as a macchiato with six ounces of frothed milk (using the microwave and mini aerolatte) provides a nice strong kick with the first sips and a smooth finish all the way to the bottom of the cup.

This is the only one out of the six espresso here that is strong enough to make a cappucino out of it.

The flavor is good and plenty of crema on top - but I swear there is little or no caffeine in this product.
I had four cups and not even a little pick me up. One cup of the Tassimo Maxwell House and I am feeling it. Would not buy the King of Joe again.

I really like this espresso. It is strong enough to give you energy but also a good balance in the taste. Some espressos tend to be too rosty and almost a hint of "burnt" taste in it. I like this product because its flavor is weel rounded and I can also drink it without any sugar!

I have tried Gevallia, and Mastro Lorenzo espresso both of them do not compare to the King of Joe . In my own opinion. I love the fact there is no bitter taste or aftertaste. I hope they decide to make a extra bold Crema version and a decaf espresso. this brand is going to be a staple in my household.

It's amazing how bold this espresso is while remaining so smooth. Other espresso options can seem more burned-tasting than strong. Two shots of this and some hot milk makes amazing lattes! Absolutely recommend that you try this.

As a short single short espresso, this brand is very weak, weaker than any t-disk espresso I've tried. Unfortunately, it is the only espresso brand my BB sells, so I must order something else online. I would not buy this brand for espresso again nor recommend it.

If you're expecting espresso, this one is a disappointment. It's not as bold as the other Tassimo espresso options – in flavor and volume it's more like the crema varieties. Maestro Lorenzo Crema is a staple at our house and this compares much more favorably to that than to the other espressos. It overfills my espresso cups (probably makes 4-5oz shots) and has a much milder flavor. The flavor is pretty nice, but I won't be ordering this again.

Picked some of this up yesterday. I really was not expecting much since I have been purchasing mostly European discs for use in my Tassimo. However, I was pleasantly surprised. This espresso is just as good as its European counterparts (maybe better). It is incredibly bold, smooth, and features a nice layer of crema (which lasted through the entire cup). Love it!!!

I was drinking the Mastro Lorenzo Espresso in my cappuccino, as it was the best available until now! The King of Joe Espresso has an intensely bold flavor without the bitterness. It is a delight to drink in my cappuccino!
