My children bought me my first Tassimo 10 yrs ago and it has served my needs completely. It was just recently that the water system has failed and I figured it's time for a new brewer. I just ordered the T-20 and I'm sure I'll be just as happy with that one. I get all my supplies from Bed Bath and Beyond and when Tassimo has a special, I order directly from them. Try it...you'll like it !

I am a single person who lives alone....since I don't need a 12 cup coffee maker, I've been attracted to the single cup coffee format.
My first purchase of a single cup coffee maker (I refuse to name names# was a complete disaster...it made poor quality coffee, the coffee cartridges were not available anywhere except at the manufacturer, plus they were horribly expensive to purchase. After that, I decided to wait for awhile for better technology to come along.
A couple of years ago, after I felt the tech had significantly improved, I looked at single cup coffee machines again, and decided on the Tassimo T-20 model....it made great coffee, the T-Disks could be purchased locally, and were reasonably priced, which I felt would more than make up for the higher cost of the brewer itself.
I have owned this model for two plus years now, and it's hands down the best coffee machine I've ever purchased. The coffees even better than 2 years ago #which wasn't all that bad even when Starbucks left the format#, coffees are still reasonably priced and locally available at more places than ever. I even developed a taste for lattes and cappuccinos...oh those are so good #real milk makes the difference)!
This machine can do everything, do it better, and save you money over the long haul.....what is not to like about it?

Had this machine for about 3 months. It is beautiful, very fast, makes great coffee. Less than $1/cup, which puts Starbucks to shame. I have only used one type of coffee since I have had it, so I'm not totally sure on the "versatility" of the machine yet. My only complaint, and it really is a small one, is that it is a little loud. I put a placemat under it to try to muffle the "hum" but it didn't work. It makes the coffee so quickly though that it's not that big of a deal. And none of my coworkers have complained or anything so I just ignore it.

I know you'll love the Jacobs Mild. Tassimo just put it on sale for $7.00/pkg. I bought 5! Everyone of my friends or family who has tried it so far has raved over it. If you like your coffee mild...to experiment, I'd try the cremas first, especially if you can catch them on sale. Another interesting one is the Chai tea. I have never drank tea with milk. But the smell of the Chai tea and the creaminess of the flavor was like a wonderful dessert. A nice treat to keep around, tho I wouldn't drink it on a regular basis. Earl Grey is always a good standard to have if you have a tea drinker visit. Hope you like my suggestions. Let me know.

I have since tried the latte (seperate espresso and milk t-discs) and I am AMAZED at how perfect it tastes! I don't really like a lot of foam, but this isn't too much. And I'm just amazed that I own a coffee machine that makes a coffee drink with foam. I just feel so fancy!
I am definitely going to try the other coffee brands that Connie suggested. For sure, I like a very mild coffee, so next time I order, I will be trying that Jacob's brand. Thanks for the tip! :-)

I do not use any of the maxwell house brands simply because when you have a brewer like tassimo, you want to taste the best of the coffees available. If you like a mild coffee, you must try the "crema"s. I drink my coffee black, and I love almost every single brand they offer at Tassimo, but my absolute favorite is JACOBS CAFFÈ CREMA SANFT UND MILD COFFE, it has been back ordered for well over 9 months but it's back in stock now and I honestly know you will love it. Try any of the cremas and Mastreos are another brand I love too. Especially their expresso. I haven't found a single expresso that was bitter or wasn't just the perfect cup for after dinner... a little taste of coffee to finish a good meal or w/dessert. Before you ever go back to Maxwell house, try all the other coffees offered and I think you will be amazed!

Love this much better than the other brands as it comes with actual creamers to blend with the different coffees and especially the Chi Tea. Most others are just a water base product. The only thing I "don't like" is that it doesn't come with a part to blend your own coffees as the others do. Hopefully they will come out with one "real" soon and then I think this would be a 5-star product.

I got mine for fee as it was sent to me over two years ago in a promotion. Ever since then I have been a big fan of this unit. It is simple to use and simple to clean and has never had one problem.
My only problem is getting the t-disc's local. Every once in awhile I can get them at Bed Bath & Beyond but even they don't keep what I want in stock. Forget Walmart and even our local supermarket has stopped carrying them.
I am now ordering them direct but when you run out your stuck for awhile.
I too wish they had more selections but I have found what I like. HINT more hot coca choices and coffee.
Great machine, great system just very poor distribution of the t-disc. They have a winner but don't appear to now how to market it.

They're everywhere, but not our Tassimo. I do see where Bed Bath/Beyond is carrying more types of t-discs, so that's good, but the majority of the groceries chains only carry Maxwell house or a cappacino (which I've bought in a cruch, to get an expresso out of it. I gift the extra milk to friends to use. Or keep a few on hand incase visitors would like the milk. Please go after some of the larger grocery stores to carry the foreign brands.... Publix, Walmart, Winn Dixie??? I would buy them for gifts for others if I didn't have to order ahead thru Tassimo, and could pick up a special choice now and then without having to pay shipping for just a taste for tea now and then. I purchased this about 2 years ago - it was between this and a Keurig. I picked Tassimo because, at the time, this was the only one that did Chai Latte....and had the best hot coacoa. The unit works very well, although we have very calcified water (I use tap which is my problem) and the red light would come on, but it still works and has always been a hard worker for me.
My major beef is this - the pods are getting more and more expensive. And less stores are carying them, and of my local stores that do carry their pods, they are not carrying the Chai Latte...they just stopped carrying it..I have to tell you this Chai was the BEST I have ever had....very few calories, and it tasted like heaven...kind of like a creme brulee with cinnamon...just absolutely awesome. I kept this machine running just because of the Chai, although over time it was getting more and more expensive. Started out about 7.50, and is now running about $12...you get 8 servings. Sometimes during the day, in the winter, I had more than one a day. This is where it gets expensive.
My local store stopped carrying the Chai. This is when I made my decision.
The pods were getting too costly....I looked and ALL pods are getting expensive.....on the average about $12 for anywhere from 8 to 12 servings. This is for a Keurig, Tassimo, whatever unit you get. And you are spending a heck of alot for the unit to make this expensive drink.
I went back to my normal coffee pot. I am getting the flavored coffemate for it. Its cheaper - yes I don't get my Chai Latte anymore, but I am saving sooo much money. I get one pot of coffee - a whole POT - for the cost of just one pod....one serving.
Awesome unit - but cost too much for a drink! They lost me.

I used to brew a French press every morning, but going back to work and trying to get out the door with a two year old, i found I didn't have the time and was hitting Starbucks almost daily ($$$)! Several friends have Keurigs and I was looking at those, but found out about the tassimo and was sold on it. I love that I can mix it up everyday and have coffe, creams, lattes, whatever. It's also smaller than a Keurigs and my kitchen is tiny, so I love that it tucks into a corner and doesn't take up much counter space.

I got this as a present for Mother's Day 2012 and at first I loved it until I had to buy the coffee! The coffee is very expensive and can only be found at Bed, Bath and Beyond.
I have also experienced many problems. It has stopped brewing in the middle of the brewing process and I had to wait 5 minutes to restart the machine. This has happened at least 6 times! This morning it went out and won't come back at all, wasting the expensive Peppermint Mocha coffee that was brewing! Now I find out that on top of the expensive coffee, I have to buy a descaling powder to clean the machine so it will work again! I would never buy this product again!

I use to own a Tassimo and when the keurig became popular i gave my Tassimo away and got a keurig. Bot was i wrong for doing that. I never really liked the coffee and started using instant coffee, i thought i was just getting sick of coffee, then my hubby asked me what i wanted for Christmas and i asked for a Tassimo. I am soooooo glad to have my Tassimo back. My keurig is now the machine i took to work but my Tassimo is my coffee, latte, iced, tea, hot cocoa machine and i will never leave again. Any bad reviews they have is totally wrong this is the machine to own.

I had the Kuereg before this, and this is 100% better. Its perfect when you just want one cup of coffee or tea with many specialty coffees available. The only thing I don't like is many of the discs only make small portions (4ozs) so you have to double the discs used to make a mug of hot chocolate for instance. It has the option to add more water but that just makes it weak. T discs are readily available at pretty much any supermarket in tons of varieties.

Wal Mart quit selling the TDiscs Now I have to go to Bed Bath and beyond. No complaints on the machine. Love It. Wished they would sell the t disc in more locations tho.

Thanks, Bed bath and beyond have a ton of these Tdiscs. Either place I go is in the same city. My city doesn't have a wal mart. I also have a keurig and I love it to. They both have there perks, and downfalls

In my house I am the only one who actually drinks coffee, so I was looking for a single brewing machine that required minimum maintenance and not much of equipment expense like filters and such. I actually stumble upon this product by accident, but what a happy accident it turned out to be! It's great so easy to use, versatile you can fit any cup size and the best part is that you can have a variety of drinks Starbucks style in the comfort of your own home. Who doesn't love that! I would definitely recommend this product to my friends and family and anyone who will listen.

I am so excited to finally be a Tassimo owner! I have had a Keurig for over 2 years, and I tried so hard to get it to make drinks the way I wanted it to. I even bought a separate milk frother. I don't understand why it is taking Keurig so long to start doing these specialty cafe drinks. Anyways, it doesn't matter anymore because I just bought a Tassimo the other day. I should have gotten one in the first place. So far I am very happy with the drinks I have been able to make. I enjoy a latte much more than I do coffee, flavored or not. I hope I will continue to be a happy customer the longer I use Tassimo. I have been reading a lot of reviews about t-discs being out of stock with no estimated date of availability. I hope I do not run into that problem. So far, so good!

I recently purchased this machine to use in my college dorm room. I don't start for another month, but I've already fallen in love with my machine! The size is absolutely excellent--and trust me, size really does matter when it comes to a dorm room. In addition, T-Discs barely take up any room at all--you can't say that for a bag of messy coffee grounds and boxes of messy hot cocoa powder! I'm really looking forward to using my new machine--in my new dorm room!

I'm not going to lie, I was skeptical when I first ordered my Tassimo, because I read some negative reviews on the brewer and the T-Discs. However, I chose it over the Keurig because of it's variety in types of drinks it can make. I am VERY pleased to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE my brewer. It's easy to use, super quick, so far I have had no complaints about any of the beverages and I've tried quite a few of them now (mostly the more mild to medium roasts). After I using my T20 for about a month, I stayed with my cousin who has a Keurig, and I was so incredibly glad I made this choice. The T20 is just so much easier to use, quicker, and much more quiet (which is important at 5am). The only thing that I do wish is that they would make some soy substitutes for the lattes and cappuccinos, just because most of my friends are lactose intolerant.

I have wanted a Tassimo since I first saw them a few years ago, but did not want to pay $200. Over time the price has come down, YEAH! Now I see the Kurig (sp?) and it's alot easier to reuse those cups with my own brand of coffee. But we still wanted to make latte's and expresso's. The last few months I have done research and read, and read reviews.
My concerns have been similar to this review and some others. Its time! Tomorrow I am bringing home the T65. I work from home so I have time to clean the tdisc and repack with my Cinnamon Spice coffee. Most of all my husband can have his strong coffee/espressos and my daughter & I can have latte's on saturday mornings, so simple and easy.
I'll come back and leave a review after I've had it a few weeks

I have had my machine for about two years now and I love it! I will warn you that once you discover the tassimo it will ruin all other coffee for life….. I work 12hr shifts at a hospital and for the most part I work days. When I have to work a night shift, I bring my Tassimo from home :) I am just that spoiled now :) Think I might have gotten a few other nurses hooked on Tassimo coffee too :) LOL

This is the second Tassimo we have owned. The other was a few years old and it was time to replace it with a newer version. I like the size. I love the ease of use. I appreciate the different coffee/tea/cocoa selections offered. Only downfalls, hard to find the variety at local stores, so ordering online becomes more necessary if you want something special; and price-- it can add up when you drink a lot of coffee. Overall, I've loved it enough to get the new machine and continue to be a customer since 2007

I have 2 of these machines. I bought one when it first came
onto the market which I now use in my trailer when camping
and bought the other one in 2003. Love them! The new flavors are really great. My son has a Keurig. Keurig coffee
tastes terrible compared to Tassimo.
